Historical outline
The Company started its activity in 1970 as a state-owned enterprise created to carry out repair and modernisation services as well as the assembly of power engineering equipment.
The beginning of 1990s was – in the face of decline of exports – focused mainly on works performed in Poland. At the same time, in order to adjust the structure of the enterprise to the requirements of the changing market, restructuring changes began, mainly related to organization, employment structure and financial management.
In 1970s the scope of our activities covered majority of plants in central and southern Poland, gaining experience in activities related to modernisation. This was when the export of services began, which dynamically developed in 1980s.
Since November 23, 1994 REMAK S.A. shares have been quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
These undertakings were finalized with the privatization (December 1, 1993). At the time, the main owners of the company were Elektrim S.A. and Rafako S.A.
Further huge development of export services took place in 2003 and its high level has been lasting until today.
At present, the main owner of the company is Mostostal Warszawa S.A.
